Who we are
Named for the steady star that points the way home.
Polaris is the North Star: the one fixed point in the northern sky that sailors, travelers, and dreamers have looked to for centuries. To find it, you follow the Big Dipper and Little Dipper (Ursa Major and Ursa Minor, the great bear and her cub) as they circle and point the way.
Those very bears live in our logo, a mother and her little one looking up together. They are why our name means more than a star. They stand for the steady, watchful kind of guidance a child needs, and the closeness between a parent and the child they are helping to grow.
That is the practice we set out to build: a calm, dependable place where children and families are guided, gently and surely, toward confident communication.
